So czarnik will never be called. Wtf Send reider and Rinaldo down. Plug in Quine and Czarnik. Blows my mind why this hasn’t happened. Infuriating

Someone slap Brad in the mouth and tell him to wake the fack up.

Have you ever watched Czarnik play in the NHL? It's pretty obvious why he's not getting called up if you've ever seen him play. He adds nothing to an NHL roster. He's not good enough to play in the top six and has zero grit, size, or defensive acumen fit in a bottom six role. Reider's one of the best penalty killers the Flames have so he brings far more to the lineup than Czarnik does.

Yeah what a waste of a roster spot he would be. Keep Rinaldo and Buddy plugged in. Reider was the only part I didn’t notice about the Janko and Benny line last game. Czarnik deserves a shot in the bottom 6.

Is Brendan Dillon’s advanced stats pretty good or something. The guy has a career high of 22 points and is maybe a #4 More of a #5 as a rental on a contending team. Maybe I’m wrong but I just don’t get all the rage for a guy someone is most likely going to overpay in a trade for.

If Czarnik is in the bottom six, he's going to stand on the perimeter and do nothing. Just like he did nothing when they tried using him in the bottom six before. Reider's not some amazing hockey player, but he kills penalties. That's something. Czarnik brings nothing.

He's a defenceman who plays defence. They're rarer and rarer these days. Even when everyone's healthy, the Flames don't really have one of those. He'd be a perfect fit to play with Gio, and Gio's offensive numbers would probably go up since he could focus a little more on the offence knowing he has someone backing him up.

Dillon or Martinez would give the Flames a much better chance in the playoffs than renting a forward would.

He was actually playing some meaningful hockey before he got injured. I think he could be a good fit with Janko and Benny. He deserves a chance, but I can’t predict what a player will do like you can.

Pfff! Wtf are you smoking? Fuking Reider is useless at everything else but killing penalties. Any mope can be taught to kill penalties. Reider brings absolutely nothing to the lineup, no grit, no intimidation, no scoring, zippo, nada! He’s a waste of money! Oh I forgot, he’s a fast skater.

Sh!t I bet Ward could train you to kill penalties, that’s how useless Reider is!

Totally agree! Lots of people are waiting for Benny to step up and prove he’s a 4th oa pick, yet they still stick him with useless players.
Buddy called up, put on the top line, Mangiapane stapled to the 2nd line regardless of slumping. Poor Sammy get a sniff for a shift or two then back with the plugs. I swear if Tre trades Bennett so other coach will give him a shot and reap the rewards!

Seth Jones was injured last night and it sounds serious. Even if we are in a playoff position we should be offering TJ Brodie for Anderson in my opinion. Terrible timing with all the injuries but this should be exactly what Brad is talking about on the phone right now.

I’m not so sure there’s room in the bottom 6 for Anderson. He’s definitely not playing like a top 6 this year.
Tre needs to shed some players from the bottom 6 to make room for the kids in the farm.

Bennett has been given chances on the 1st line, he hasn't proven anything. I think his best year was his rookie year when he scored 18 goals, he hasn't gotten anywhere near that. I agree go figure if the Flames trade him he will probably flourish. Think of when the Flames gave up on Brett Hull and Martin St. Louis and Marc Savard.

Not sure you can say he’s been given a fair shot in the top 6. Can’t remember him playing 2 games in a row up there but I could be wrong. Lots of others have been given an extended look and we’re still looking for that guy. Buddy isn’t it but yet that’s where he played. Mang went games without a point, yet he’s still there.

St Louis was let to walk as a free agent
Badger said Hull will score 50 in this league just not for his team.
Gilbert didn’t want Savard for some reason even thou him and iginla clicked and we’re good friends.
There has to be something deeper in the whole Bennett thing that we’re not aware of.

Funny thing about Hull is Barzels dad outscored him in Penticton when the played for the Panthers. He was just too small for the 80’s NHL.

Yeah I'm not to sure how many games Bennett has played top line, but you are right though you wonder what is going on. I remember that game against the Panthers and I think he scored 4 goals and that one was a highlight reel goal. It would be nice to see that kind of Sam Bennett. Hard to believe he's still only 23 and it feels like he's been in the league for years.

Even you can see that Reider has two things going for him. Czarnik has none. Two is a larger number than zero.

I'm pretty sure the Flames are paying a lot more attention to Czarnik than you are and they seem to agree with me. Did you not watch the Flames last year. Czarnik had one pretty good week and a whole bunch of weeks where he did nothing at all.

Bennett's problem has been lack of consistency and bad penalties. There has not been gradual growth into a more rounded player. He has the odd great game where he uses all his skills and follows that up with 3-4 games of futility.

Posted this early today before they announced the lineup but yeah Rinaldo is in.

That lines looking good tonight, of course Reider buries another one.
